In the broad expanse of the Pacific Ocean two carrier battle groups, those of USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) and USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), passed each other. Taken aboard Stennis, this shot shows USS Kitty Hawk, the last conventionally-powered aircraft carrier in U.S. service.
