Description
Kawanishi H8K2 flying boat, Allied reporting name, "Emily." As far as I know she's the only restored example of the type, though there are a few sunken airframe about. Probably about the closest thing to the old Pan Am Clipper flying boats (Boeing 314 and Martin M-130) left. The Emily was one of the best flying boats of World War II, she had a very long range and was well-armed.
Fun fact! This Emily was "featured" in the first episode of the anime "You're Under Arrest!"

There is also two of the Martin Mars still around, and, I'd say those are also pretty close to the Pan Am clippers.
